What to Expect
The 60-minute class is designed to help you improve your kickboxing techniques through technical partner drills, footwork for attack and defense, distance management, and range understanding. The class starts with a warm-up session, followed by attack and defense drills, then technical drilling, and finally, optional touch sparring or more drilling.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice a range of striking techniques utilized in K1 Kickboxing which can also be applied effectively in the sport of MMA. Unlike traditional Muay Thai, the use of elbow strikes and clinching is not used. Kickboxing tends to utilize techniques from many various stand-up-based martial arts, such as karate and boxing.
