Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA athletes set to compete at Road to CFN in Bali

This weekend on August 31st, four Bangtao athletes are heading to Bali, Indonesia, to compete in the Road to CFN, a platform designed to help amateurs break into Bali’s pro fight league, Canggu Fight Night (CFN). The event features four-man tournaments in each weight class. Representing Bangtao, Tor, Toby McNerlin, Assane Sall, and Jonathan “Guns” Semerene will step into the flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight, and lightweight divisions. With up to eight fights ahead for the team, coaches Brad Riddell, Alex Schild, and Frank Hickman are on hand to corner the squad through the busy day.

Hosted at Bali MMA, Road to CFN is set to be one of Southeast Asia’s biggest amateur MMA events, featuring over 40 fighters from around the globe. The action starts at 12 PM CTZ (11 AM ICT – Phuket time). Can’t make it to Bali? Support the team by watching live on the Canggu Fight Night Bali YouTube channel!

If you’re in Phuket, don’t miss the ADCC Thailand grappling event at Illuzion Phuket on August 31st, with Kemoy ‘Rated R’ Anderson taking on Magomet Matiev as the main event. Kemoy, who trains at 10th Planet Austin, Texas, and regularly visits Bangtao Muaythai & MMA, is known for his slick ‘truck’ game. His matchup against Phuket Grappling’s Magomet promises a high-level clash between two black belts.

With 20 matches on the card, the event starts at 3 PM ICT, with free entry for those aged 20 and above. Enjoy a great night of grappling, complete with a fully stocked bar for the audience!
